Nanci's
Fructose Frozen Yogurt is a manufacturer and international wholesaler
of soft-serve
dessert mixes including Frozen Yogurt, Fruit Freezer Sorbet, Non-dairy
soft serve, No Sugar Added mixes, Smoothie base mixes, Granita
mixes and more than 90 flavors. Based in Mesa,
Arizona, the family owned company has been in business since 1979,
when the first line of healthy dessert products entered the market.
Wudel, Inc., a family-operated
business, is headquartered in Mesa, Arizona. It was originally established
by John and Nanci Wudel in Utah in 1979. Three years later, John
was awarded a dairy patent for the first fructose-sweetened ice
cream in the United States.
The Wudel's focus changed
from ice cream to frozen yogurt as health trends shifted to low
fat diets. After the company moved to Arizona, distribution of Nanci's
Frozen Yogurt grew rapidly in the Western United States, and into
Chicago and Boston.
A non-dairy fruit
sorbet was introduced with such great response that a full complement
of non-dairy mixes was added to help individuals suffering from
lactose intolerance. Wudel Inc. has also added a line of no sugar
added mixes to make a combine total of nine base mixes. Nanci’s
products are distributed throughout the United States,
as well as internationally.

John Wudel - President
and CEO
Originally from Long
Beach, California, John graduated from Brigham Young University
with a B.S. in chemistry, where he was the head of the Qualitative
Analysis Lab.
In 1968, he opened
the first of a series of restaurants in Utah and Arizona, which
provided the avenue for John to begin developing food products
sweetened entirely with fructose. In 1981, he received a U.S.
dairy patent for fructose-sweetened ice cream. In 1987, he began
aggressively marketing frozen yogurt, and today his full product
line includes healthy desserts and beverages.
Nanci Wudel - Spokesperson
A journalism graduate
of BYU, Nanci has received national awards for writing; is an
independent video producer/director; and is actively involved
with the conception and marketing of Wudel Inc. products.
In addition, Nanci
is a professional model and actress and has appeared in many
national
television commercials. Named Utah's "Honor Young Mother
of the Year," Nanci currently resides in Arizona with her
husband John Wudel.
